For all employees and volunteers of the Diocese of Covington who in any way provide a safe environment for children.
Virtus Application
- Step 1: Contact the parish/school institution leader to review the Policies and Procedures and fill out the Application and Acceptance Forms.
- Step 2: Go to www.virtus.org and click on Registration. Follow the prompts to create an account and request a background check. Selection.com is a secure site; the background check is posted on your account, and you receive a copy if you request it during the registration process. You will sign up for a VIRTUS training class during registration.
- Step 3: Send a copy of the Acceptance Form/Volunteer Application and a copy of your driver’s license to Karen Lipscomb, or you may drop a hard copy off at the school office or parish office during business hours.
- Step 4: Your account becomes active when your background check, VIRTUS session, and Acceptance Form/Volunteer Application are posted on your account. You will receive 12 bulletins per year. You will receive e-mail notices at system@pub.virtus.org unless your computer program blocks them.
