Position: Childcare Classroom Aide

Position Summary

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Classroom Aide to support our early childhood classrooms. This position will work alongside classroom staff and may assist in multiple classrooms throughout the center, helping provide a safe, nurturing, clean, and engaging environment for children ages 1–4.

Full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and implement all State of Kentucky childcare regulations and applicable licensing requirements.
  • Maintain consistent classroom management and support established classroom routines.
  • Actively supervise children at all times. Children must remain within your scope of vision and range of voice.
  • Assist with children’s everyday needs, including following schedules and routines, feeding, diapering, toileting, and other age-appropriate care.
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and organized classrooms, toys, equipment, and learning areas.
  • Model positive, respectful interactions with children and staff to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Help keep children active, entertained, and engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Monitor children for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns and report concerns to the Director or classroom staff.
  • Maintain required childcare and classroom records.
  • Communicate regularly with families, classroom staff, and other aides.
  • Work cooperatively with the entire childcare team and assist in classrooms as needed.
  • Complete the required 15 hours of annual training and professional development.

We are hiring an Early Learning Support Assistant to join our childcare team. This position provides hands-on support throughout our early learning center and may work with children across multiple age groups. The ideal candidate is flexible, attentive, patient, and enjoys being part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Kentucky childcare regulations and applicable licensing standards.
  • Support classroom staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment.
  • Maintain active supervision of children and ensure children remain within sight and range of voice.
  • Assist with children’s daily care, schedules, routines, meals, diapering, toileting, and other needs.
  • Help maintain clean and sanitary classrooms, toys, equipment, and activity areas.
  • Build positive relationships with children through encouraging, respectful, and supportive interactions.
  • Help provide engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for children.
  • Monitor children’s health, behavior, and emotional well-being and promptly report concerns.
  • Maintain accurate classroom and childcare records as required.
  • Communicate effectively with families, classroom staff, and other members of the childcare team.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in different classrooms based on the needs of the center.
  • Complete the required 15 hours of annual training and professional development.
  • Assist with other duties necessary for the safe and successful operation of the classroom.
